Bottled Water

A company called Evive launched this week to battle the evil of bottled water with reusable RFID equipped bottles that need a special filling station that plays advertising to you while you refill. Sort of like a water fountain but worse in every way possible.

Concord Massachusetts just started to ban the sale of bottled water, joining several other towns and cities around the world. They've actually just banned small bottles, you can still buy a large one.

Wouldn't it be better to leave the water on the shelf and ban Coke?

I think you make a valid point. Understand the 'environmental evils' of bottled water...but why aren't all these do gooders going after coke/soft drinks, bottled juices and sport drinks. The plastic of these bottles is MUCH greater (read heavier) than water and they are MUCH worse for you health wise. But all I see is ban bottled water. Don't get me wrong...not saying save bottled water....but be consistent.

If all these towns/campuses etc are acting for the greater good / our future...why only ban single serve water...go for a ban on the other things that are not only killing our earth too, but killing people's health too!!!!!!!!
